I'm Chris, a polyglot software engineer with more than five years of
experience delivering products in healthcare, ecommerce and fintech.
During that time I've built mobile apps, desktop applications and web
services. Since early 2025, I'm working as a freelancer and living in
Japan.
While my focus for the last years has been on Kotlin and Android
development, I have also used C++ and C# professionally and regularly
dive into new languages and technologies on the side. Apart from
software engineering, I'm passionate about language learning. For the
last three years, I've been studying Japanese every single day. I
passed the N2 exam last December and am currently studying to pass N1.
AI is transforming our everyday lives and the way we work. But I'm
convinced that in software development, the same qualities are just as
important as they always were: technical expertise, domain knowledge,
communication skills and taking responsibility for one’s work. If you
